Among the top 100 girls for 2017, Nicole Phaneuf saw the greatest jump in 1600 time from 2016.

We did the boys yesterday. Today, we turn our attention to the girls. 

The idea here is still very simple. Look at the top 100 ranked girls in Colorado this spring by 1600 times. Then, go back to their top times from last year and compare. Who made the biggest steps forward?

In this case, there is one individual who stand out dramatically from the rest. Palmer Ridge's Nicole Phaneuf jumped all the way from 6:35.39 to 5:18.56, for a jump of better than 1:15. That boggles the mind's ability to comprehend. Phaneuf was followed by stellar improvements from the sisters Harding at Battle Mountain.

The time differentials between last year's and this year's best times are more scattered than they were with the boys.
