It was a Castle View kind of day as Jared Wright and Aidan Scott led the way for the Sabercat boys.
Denver was buzzing with the anticipation of Labor Day
weekend, the Colorado verses Colorado State football game, and the Washington
Park Invitational Friday. Heat blanketed the city, sending temperatures into
the upper 80's, which created the most uncomfortable of distance-running
conditions. Despite this additional challenge, some of the best teams in
Colorado descended on Washington Park to see where they stood among their
competition.
While state is still nearly two months away and the season is barely a week old, runners from across Colorado's Front Range took to the flat course to find their racing legs.
