2017 UCCS Rust Buster: 1, 2, 3, 4, Rampart!

A D20-Dominated Girls Race

The Superintendent of School at Academy District 20 would have been proud. Up front, it was all Academy District 20--Pine Creek with 34 points on a roster with surprisingly little carry-over from last year, Rampart with 42 points, and The Classical Academy with 66 points.

After a brief early stint in the lead by Chap's Aspen Jeffers, it was very quickly down to the three aforementioned teams.

Top top seven individual places also went D20's direction, Rampart taking the first two places with Kyla Ramsey and Lynzie Kutsner, the Pine Creek and TCA parceling out the next five between Lucy Hart, Kaylee Thompson, McKenzie Elliott, Brooke Coleman, and Sarah Bassett.

As a footnote to that, Kaylee Thompson was running her first high school race of any form or fashion. Lucy Hart now has twice that much experience.

All seven also finished under 16 minutes, joining with MaLeigha Menegatti to make it eight sub-16s on the day.
