Clement Park played host once again to the spectacle that is the Dave Sanders Invitational. Noticeable to many in attendance, including long-time meet director and former Columbine coach Natalie Reyes, was the significantly cooler temperatures that greeted athletes, coaches and spectators spread across four varsity races and ten races in total.
For whatever reason, past editions of this meet have generally offered up quite warm conditions and plenty of sunshine. Not so this year, as the temperature for the first race was a comfortable 78 degrees, including a light breeze and grey skies. By the end of the meet rain began to fall, though more in the form of sprinkles than a true rain shower.
