Matthew Roberds is one of those athletes whose lower profile early in the season can't be trusted to reflect what will happen later in the season.
This one will kick off a whole round of regional forecasts.
Everything I write here is subject to conditions common to humanity: fallibility and confirmation bias among them. But, I'll do my best to offer as balanced of a look at each region I'm able to preview as I go.
We begin with 4A Region 5. For some of these I'll do boys first, and for others girls will go first. This time, it's boys.
The venue for 4A Region 5 is Hillcrest Golf Course in Durango. That's one in the favorable column for Durango, and possibly Montrose, right there. It's a heavy travel date for the rest of the region. The date is Thursday, October 19.
The pattern to be followed here is a virtual meet for the boys followed by discussion, then, on the next page, a virtual meet for the girls, followed by discussion.
