
When it comes to a four-year career posted over the last 10 years, nobody matches the standard set by Paul Roberts.
Note: This article will be the first of a series of four spread over the remainder of the year. It is very definitely a 10-year anniversary kind of piece. 10 years ago, I took on the responsibilities of Colorado Track XC (then Colorado Runners, but changed shortly thereafter). This article, then, is a look back and an attempt to name the top ten boys cross country performers over the period of time from the calendar year of 2008 forward.
Yes, of course, there's some subjectivity in this list. And my list here won't match everyone else's list--and there are some remarkable guys who don't show up on this list. But, this list should bring back a pleasant rush of memories for all who've followed the sport these last 10 years even so. The selections here reflect a heavy, but not exclusive, weighting toward post season events.
