There were Elite athletes. There were Real athletes. And at the end of the night, an abundance of Peak Performances.
While Colorado may not have a formal indoor season, a slew of club teams have made the Steinhauer Field House at Mines there go-to location for indoor track and field.
Wednesday night saw a handful of stellar performances that cracked the National Rankings, proving that while it may only be December, and no formal indoor season exists, it's clear that Colorado takes this track and field thing quite seriously.
GIRLS
Sydney Holiday came down from Wyoming to hit the boards, and she made the most of her trip. Holiday led the once-again star-studded 60 field with a staggering 7.77. Pushing her to the line was Abigail Tamminga, who finished second in 7.81, and Lauren Cox, who finished thid in 7.88. Mia Manson was the fourth runner under 8 seconds, running 7.98.
The Anna Hall proved to be quickly finding her stride in the 60 hurdles. The UGA-commit dominated the field which included Jordan Lanning and Holiday. Hall ran a 8.77 personal best. Lanning took second in 9.12, just ahead of Holiday's 9.39.
The 300 was a tight race between Nina Kemp and Lily Margolis. The two ran in different heats, making this race go down to the bright red numerals on the scoreboard. When they flashed out their truth, Kemp had the win in 44.16, just ahead of Margolis's 44.21.
Lily Margolis cruised to a 44.21 second-place finish in the 300.
Another hotly contested battle took place in the 800 where three girls ran within the same second to go 1-2-3. Taking the W was Bri Teegarden, who ran 2:33.07, just ahead of Michela Hewitt and Erika Timbang, who ran 2:33.43, and 2:33.97.

Everyone was a winner in the high jump. Josephine Coffey and Cailey Archer both went 4-8 to win the event in a tie.
The long jump was perhaps the most competitive event of the night. Seven girls broke the 17 foot barrier, led by Abigail Tamminga, who won the event in 18-0.75 as the lone jumper to go beyond 18 feet. Lanning, Hailey Harris, and Manson were all just inches back, with Lanning landing second in 17-11.5, Harris third in 17-10.5, and Manson 17-10.2.
Harris did get a win before her night was over, however. She won the triple jump in 36-10.7, just ahead of Riley Masten, who finished second in 35-0.
Legend's Lauren Jarossy was a clear foot above the competition in the pole vault, clearing 11-3 for the win. The victory keeps her sheet clean on the indoor season.
Lauren Jarossy was the above the competition, and the bar Thursday night.
