Five Competitions To Watch At The St. Vrain Invitational

The Boys Pole Vault

17-7.5.

The mark looms over Max Manson like a pole vault bar high in the sky, or like his father once did when he was a few feet shorter.

And speaking of his father - Pat Manson - Max has had his sights set on his father's 17-7.5 all-time Colorado state record for quite a while now.

Manson has been over 17 feet four times this season, and did go 17-5.5 indoors (when he won the NBNI.)

A year ago he went 16-9 at this meet before going on to take down his father's state meet record with a 17-3.5 less than a week later.

Manson knows how to go big when it counts, and it all counts now. The weather, the set-up, and the crowd at St. Vrain are all things Manson has mentioned he enjoys, as well as getting some BIG air.

You won't want to miss any attempt the Monarch senior makes, because it very well could be history in the making.

Destiny awaits!
