Based on 2018 personal bests, the defending champs look like the team to beat.

Between defending state champ Katie Fankhouser, and last year's runner-up Quin Gregg, add Hannah Thomas to the mix, and the Lions look to be one insanely tough squad to beat. 

There really isn't much to counter a 1-2 punch like that when their 1-2 are finishing 1-2 in the state. Additionally, a 19:39 team average and 1-3 split of 2:27 begs for a challenger.

And if they've got a challenger, it could come from Buena Vista.

Platte Canyon is a squad with likewise potential. And on paper - in terms of speed - they're just inches behind Buena Vista.
