Who is The Closer?
The Closer as in: Who closes off the scoring, thus sending every coach to their notepad with a pencil to start counting?
This past weekend we had a slew of 5ks, and a few 2 mile races, though we'll lean more heavily on the 5k this week since it's the race everyone will be running in coming weeks, and the state meet.
And this week Arvada West's Logan Deison takes the honors as the No. 1 No. 5 runner.
Deison closed out Arvada West's scoring at the D'Evelyn Invitational, finishing 12th in a big personal best of 17:15.
On the girl's side of the equation Cherokee Trail's Tarikwa Woldemariam takes the cake. Woldermariam finished sixth at the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede, running 20:11.
