
There have been some stellar indoor pole vaulters over the past few years...
In the numbers:
2020 - Three have gone over 12 feet (so far).
2019 - One went over 12 feet.
2018 - Three went over 12 feet.
2017 - Two went over 12 feet.
2016 - Two went over 12 feet.
On top of the list the past four consecutive years has been Mia Manson. She's gone over 12 feet every year of high school.
The only other girl to sit on top of the thrown the past five years other than Manson was Andrea Willis in 2016 - and she owns the top mark as well at 13-7.25, which is just over an inch above Manson's 13-6 from 2018.
To add a little depth to these ranking, they include middle schoolers along with high schoolers.
As dominate as Manson has been over the past four years, the most current list - 2020 - may give us a hint as to who will take over the crown after she graduates.
Eight-grader Lilly Nichols is currently the No. 2 pole vaulter in Colorado this year with a 12-2 best, and another classmate - Kourtney Rathke ...
