We're creeping onwards into the middle of July, which means that we're getting a little closer to cross country season. But before we fully direct our attention away from the track and set it towards the cross country course, let's take a scan backwards in time at the best combined 1,600-3,200 runners from 2011-2020...
In The Numbers
Two have combined 1,600 and 3,200 times under 13 minutes - Cole Sprout and Cerake Geberkidane. (Michael Mooney was just over the mark with a 13:02 combined time.)
Seven have combined times of 13:20 or faster - Sprout, Geberkidane, Mooney, Ethan Gonzales, Tanner Norman, and Eric Hamer, and Connor Winter.
16 have combined times under 13:30.
Editor's Note: Mile to 1,600 conversions are not expressed on this list. Of note - Cruz Culpepper's 4:00.1, and Cole Sprout's 4:02.42 full miles are not included. This list is purely 1,600 and 3,200.
