Like 5A, the girl's 4A field is loaded with stellar squads spanning the state.
And on top of them all is the fastest squad among all-classifications - Niwot.
The two-time defending state champs return a squad with a stellar 17:59 1-5 average. This is a clear half-minute in front of every squad in 4A. Add that their 37-second 1-5 split is second best among the Top-10 (Silver Creek 35-second 1-5 split is No.1.)
Battle Mountain returns as the second-fastest squad, with a 18:35 average, which is just ahead of Air Academy's 18:42.
As mentioned in previous articles, this list does not include transfers and incoming freshmen. What will be interesting here is the impact of incoming freshmen - because there are some stellar freshmen in 4A that could make an immediate impact.
