Let's take a quick glance at the top returning 5A squads in Colorado...

Defending state champions Grandview look like the early favorites to claim the boys 2022 state title. They return a nearly-full squad that can eat up points from the sprints and hurdles to the field events. Hurdler Malique Singleton will play a huge role for the Wolves, along with multi-event athlete Mateo Munoz.

Valor Christian is the No. 2 returner, with the distance duo of Drew Costelow and Ty Garrett, along with Jack Wetterling looking to be their big point scorers. 

Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain and Mountain Vista are a close 3-4.
