Avry Kennison was all smiles after crossing the finish line, and with good reason - she just won the 100 state title in 12.52.
Likewise, Janise Everett ran away with the 200 title, running 25.03 for a half-second victory.
Upwards in distance and onwards into Niwot territory, Madison Shults and Stella Vieth went 1-2 in the 400.
Shults ran 56.05 and Vieth dove across the line for a 56.25. Lily Meskers took third in 57.99
Shults and Vieth duplicated the feat in the 800, and were joined by teammates Bella Nelson and Eva Klingbeil, giving Niwot a 1-2-3-4 in the event. Shults defended her title with a 2:08.33 clocking.
Klingbeil went on to sweep the distance events.
The Niwot senior ran away with the 1,600, clocking a 4:49.66.
Air Academy's Bethany Michalak took second in a Colorado PR of 4:52.10, while Niwot freshman Nelson was third in 4:53.50, which was just ahead of Centaurus' Maggie McCleskey's 4:53.72.
Klingbeil telescoped away with the 3,200 as well, running 10:29. Michalak took second six-seconds back in 10:35, while Ella Hagen finished third in 10:50.
In the 100H Kimora Northrup took one more step up on the podium, running 14.66 to win the state title. Kendall McCoy took second in 14.74.
Kilah Freelon torched the 300H, running 42.13. Northrup took second in 43.31.
Mesa Ridge took a big victory in the 4x100, dipping under 49-seconds for a 48.64 state title. Likewise, Mullen dominated the 4x200, running 1:42.75.
The remainder of the relays belonged to Niwot.
They dominated the Sprint Medley with a 1:48.80 clocking, and the 4x400 in 3:55.18
They also ran away with the state title in the 4x800, clocking a 9:24 for a nine-second victory. Durango took second in 9:33, while Battle Mountain was third in 9:44.
The high jump was a hotly contested competition, and the day belonged to Elizabeth Heumann. The Thompson Valley junior cleared 5-4 for the state title. Mountain View's Carlotta Feldenkirchen took second an-inch down in 5-3, while Pueblo West freshman Bradie Menegatti also cleared 5-3.
Meanwhile, Megan Kelleghan defended her pole vault state title, clearing 13-0.
Agur Dwol once again made history. For the second time this season the Mullen senior out-did herself, leaping to a new state record of 42-5.50 - that's also a US No. 1. Dowl also won the long jump with a leap of 20-01.75.
And on the topic of big performances, Giavonna Meeks was just shy of the 4A state record in the shot put. The Northfield senior won the event with a 47-2 mark. Meeks also dominated the discus with a 161-11 toss.
Niwot defended their overall team state title, tallying 170 points. Mullen was second with 60 points, while Thompson Valley was third with 42 points.
