2A

Region 1

Boys

Senior Jack Nauman took the individual title, running 16:43.30. He led his team, Heritage Christian, to a first place team finish with 42 points. Joining them at the State Championships next week will be Lyons, Strasburg, Clear Creek, and Loveland.

Girls

Sadie Robinson - only a freshman - had a huge victory, taking the win in 22:13.10. This is her first high school win! She led her team, Heritage Christian, to another victory. Heritage Christian, Loveland, Clear Creek, Lyons, and Byers will all make appearances in Colorado Springs next week.

Region 2

Boys

Nathan Schluessler kicked late to take the individual title, running 16:43. Colorado Springs Christian took the upset victory, tallying 32 points. Joining them at State next week will be Peyton, Golden View, Wiggins, and Banning Lewis. 

Girls

Nadhia Campos ran away with a dominating victory, clocking 18:44. Denver Christian took a tight team victory, tallying 43 points, while Banning Lewis was a close second. Joining them at State will be Vanguard, Colorado Springs Christian, and Fountain Valley.

Region 3

Boys

Senior Lyndon Gotelaere ran away with the individual title, running 16:16.60. Teammate Jackson Neppl was second - the two helped to secure St. Marys' overall team victory with 45 points. Rocky Ford was a close second with 46 points, followed by Thomas Maclaren Charter, Centauri, and Platte Canyon. All of these teams have secured their ticket to the state meet.

Girls

Tayte Hostetter had a dominating victory in the girls race running 20:44.60, over a minute ahead of second place. The junior led her team, Centauri, to the overall team win. They will be joined in Colorado Springs next week by Buena Vista, Rocky Ford, Thomas Maclaren, and St. Marys.

Region 4

Boys

Senior Jace Peters stormed away with the victory, clocking 16:24.00, over thirty seconds ahead of second place. Olathe clinched the team title with 59 points, followed by Rangely, Crested Butte, Lake County, and West Grand in 2-3-4-5. We will see these five teams in Colorado Springs next week.

Girls

Jessica Black, only a sophomore from North Fork, took the individual title in 18:42.90. Lake County secured the overall team win with 25 points. They will be joined next week by the girls from Caprock Academy, Olathe, North Fork, and Mancos.
