So, who can lay claim to the best squad in the state?
Well, let's start with a disclaimer of sorts - take the PowerMerge with a slight subjective look - it was definitely much cooler in in the morning compared to the afternoon.
But - this is the one race where everyone runs the same course, on the same day.
So, who took the cake?
For the girls it was Niwot - they had an impressive 39-second 1-5 split, and an average of 18:20. And this race came in the afternoon.
In this PowerMerge they tallied an impressive 62-points.
For historical comparison, last year Niwot topped this list and averaged 18:30 with a 1-5 split of 47-seconds.
So, this year's squad is the fastest ever.
Individually Valor Christian's Brooke Wilson topped this PowerMerge with her 16:59 course record in the 5A Colorado State Championships.
For the boys Cheyenne Mountain defended their PowerMerge title as well, as they averaged 16:16, and had a 1-5 split of 53-seconds.
