Who runs a (indoor) personal best in their first race of the year?
The Denver South senior opened up his final high school track season by running a state-leading 2:01.14 in the 800 at the Let's Get REAL Indoor Invitational #2 last weekend.
For additional context, the time was four-seconds faster than his indoor PR, and just two-and-a-half seconds shy of his outdoor PR.
In other words - McAlenney is way ahead of where he was last year!
Editor's Note: McAlenney held a state-lead for a day - Jackson Neppl cracked 2-minutes in Sunday's USATF All-Comers #1.
