Colorado Future Stars: Benjamin Adams

In this week's edition of Colorado Future Stars we'll be taking a look at recent standout freshmen performances.

On that note -- Colorado, meet Benjamin Adams!

Vista Nation keeps churning out stars, because this Mountain Vista freshman recently won the freshmen/sophomore race at the Arapahoe Warrior XC Invitational in 16:44.

For additional context, the time not only won the race by 46-seconds, it would've placed him eighth in the varsity race.

Add the heat of the day (it was nearing 95-degrees when Friday afternoon's race went off.)

Prior to his victory at the Arapahoe Warrior Invite he finished third in the freshmen/sophomore race at the Vista Nation XC 2-Mile Invitational behind Summit freshman Jay McDonald, and Niwot freshman Quinn Sullivan

(McDonald recently finished third at the Battle Mountain Husky Invitational in 17:58.)

Last Spring Adams ran personal bests of 2:10 in the 800, and 4:44 in the 1,600 on the track.

He finished third at the Colorado Middle School State Cross Country Championship last fall, running 12:28 for 3,500-meters.

Clearly, Adams is (another Mountain Vista) star to keep an eye on this fall!
