3A Boys
The 3A boys will take off at 11:00 a.m.
It looks like we may have a battle on our hands here.
Jackson Fagerlin currently leads the 3A rankings with his time of 15:33.9 from Liberty Bell. Meanwhile, Towler Scott recently clocked 15:36.5 at Pantherfest.
Fagerlin, a Resurrection Christian senior, won the 3A Region 4 Championship, while Scott, a Basalt junior, took the 3A Region 1 title.
We can't count out Grant Fleenor, though, of The Classical Academy. The junior has shown consistency throughout the season, highlighted by his PR at Liberty Bell of 15:50.10.
This could be anyone's race.
Matthew Hayden (Frontier Academy) and Joel Davis (Lamar) will also compete for top positions.
3A Girls
The 3A girls will take off at 9:40 a.m.
Delaney Reuter has made quite the name for herself this season.
Six wins, one runner-up finish, all sub-18 minutes.
The Eaton sophomore has improved immensely from last season, where she hadn't yet broke 18 minutes and finished sixth in the 3A State Championship.
Reuter clocked a milestone PR of 17:15.0 earlier this season John Martin Invitational, winning the meet.
Most recently, she demolished the 3A Region 4 Championship by almost three minutes, finishing at 17:25.49.
By the looks of it, Reuter is favored to take the state title this year.
The fight for second will be close. 3A Region 2 Champion, Elizabeth McQuitty (Alamosa), will look to be in the front pack, along with Madelyn Stice (Gunnison), Vivian Jack (Classical Academy), and Effie Fletcher (Coal Ridge).
