As always, The Pomona Invitational produces some impressive times and marks, and this year will definitely be no different. Almost every race has a stacked lineup and with weather predicted to be in the 70s and 80s, it should be a fast weekend for almost all the events, though it may be a touch warm for the distance athletes.
The meet is set to start at 2:00pm on Friday with mostly preliminary rounds in the sprints events. There will also be finals in the 3200m and 4x800m relay along with finals in the boys' long jump and discus, and girls' finals in the pole vault, triple jump, and high jump. On Saturday, events kick off at 9:00am with the finals in the boys' triple jump, pole vault, and shot put and girls' long jump and discus. All other running events will be finals starting at 9:15am. Finally, boys' high jump is slated to start at 10:15am.
With this level of talent coming to this two-day meet, it is nearly impossible to talk about everyone, but take a look at the most competitive events over this weekend.
