The girls list is dominated by massive improvements in this event, with the top three on this list improving by over 5 seconds!
Starting with Malaya Thomas of Mesa Ridge High School, who has improved by a staggering 7.43 seconds going from 1:07.30 to 59.87! She ran that time recently at The Pomona Invitational, where she finished 12th overall. This was also only her second 400m of the season, so Thomas definitely has plenty of opportunity to drop her time even more. 
Kate Hughes of Regis Jesuit only ran one 400m last season, but has consistently ran in the 58 second range this season, contributing to her improvement. She has dropped her time for 1:04 to 58.26, making her improvement over 6 seconds. 

Finally, Nevaeh Winfrey of Rocky Mountain High School only ran one 400m last year and so far, has only run one 400m this year, but even between the two times, Winfrey has improved by over five seconds. She has gone from a 1:02.86 to an impressive 57.43, which is #12 in all of Colorado. C...
