Though Mountain Vista High School has lost a handful of their top names from their national team title-winning squad, they still have a good group of girls returning, putting them a top of the 5A team rankings in Colorado. They are only ahead by nine points on paper, which is a gap that could be closed by Niwot High School.
Looking at Mountain Vista, they are very strong upfront with the experience of Claire Guiberson, who placed 6th overall at the state cross country meet. She also placed 6th in the 3200m at the state track and field meet, running a time of 10:42. She has a PR of 10:27 from two seasons ago, so Guiberson will lead this team quite well and be a great frontrunner for the squad.
For Addison Baker, she could be a sleeper for this team, because she was only a freshman last year.
