Congratulations to Preston Mozer of Fort Collins High School for winning last week's performer of the week with his times of 21.61 in the 200m 48.28 in the 400m! Jay McDonald, Summit High School: With a massive kick at the end, McDonald took the 1600m victory at the Broomfield Shootout running an impressive time of 4:14! His time is the new #1 time in Colorado for the event, and he ran a new personal best by 6 seconds!
Tiago Horruitiner, Eagle Valley High School: Horruitiner won the long jump at the Broomfield Shootout with a new state leading jump of 23-8.75 and almost a 2 foot PR! He also placed 2nd in the high jump getting over the bar at 6-4, and he won the 200m in a time of 22.69.
Liam Folk, Heritage High School: Going down to Texas to compete at the Texas Distance Festival, Folk ran the fastest time for all of Colorado kids in the 3200m, running 9:03! He ended up winning the event by one second and earning a new personal best in the process.
Jackson Conroy, Loveland High School: Conroy won the 110m hurdles at the Broomfield Shootout, running a state-leading time of 13.98! He is the first hurdler in Colorado to break 14 seconds in the 110m hurdles, and it is still only March! He also beat a very competitive field, including other podium finishers at the state meet.
Ethan Rathke, Peak to Peak Charter School: Rathke pole vaulted a brand new PR of 16-8 and won the event at the Broomfield Shootout! His mark is the best in Colorado and one of the best in the nation, currently ranked #9! He also placed fairly well in the long jump, jumping 22-11.25 finishing 2nd overall.
