Colorado high school track and field athletes posted several personal records across multiple meets during the week of May 4.
Cashel Johnson, Moffat High School: Johnson threw 155-0 in the discus at the Triple D Invitational on May 5, improving from his previous best of 125-2 set in May 2026! The mark sets a school record and ranks #19 in Colorado and #1 among freshmen, helping Johnson win the event against 29 competitors.
Audrie Cole, Palisade High School: Cole ran 2:23.08 in the 800 meters at the Montrose Invitational on May 9, dropping from her previous PR of 2:36.21! The time moves her to #135 in Colorado and #24 among sophomores, and Cole won the race in a field of 24. She also set personal records in the 200 meters (28.01, down from 28.97) and 400 meters (1:02.02, down from 1:02.18) at the same meet.
Finley Stockton, Lutheran High School: She clocked 15.93 in the 100-meter hurdles at Teddy's Last Chance Qualifier on May 9, improving from 16.97! The time ranks #46 in Colorado and #14 among sophomores, with Stockton placing 4th of 57 competitors. She also ran 48.38 in the 300-meter hurdles, down from 48.85.
Lauren Bough, Kent Denver School: Bough ran 26.43 in the 200 meters at the Windjammer Track Classic on May 8, cutting her previous best from 28.64 set in April! The time places her #148 in Colorado and #52 among seniors after finishing 12th of 72 runners. Bough also improved in the 300-meter hurdles, running 45.70 down from 46.06.
Daphani Allen, Yuma High School: She ran 12.30 in the 100 meters at Teddy's Last Chance Qualifier on May 9, improving from 12.72! The school record time ranks #46 in Colorado and #6 among sophomores, with Allen placing 13th of 91 competitors. She also ran 57.83 in the 400 meters, down from 58.46.
Nicholas Jones, Centaurus High School: Jones ran 51.05 in the 400 meters at Teddy's Last Chance Qualifier on May 9, improving from 52.71! The time moves him to #122 in Colorado and #53 among seniors after placing 16th of 83 competitors.
Joshua Stewart, Cherokee Trail High School: Stewart ran 13.53 in the 110-meter hurdles at the Centennial League Championships on May 7, dropping from 14.07! The school record time ranks #2 in Colorado and #1 among sophomores, with Stewart winning against 12 competitors. He also ran 36.97 in the 300-meter hurdles, improving from 38.70.
Kayla Broecker, Summit High School: She ran 11:00.43 in the 3200 meters at the HOKA St. Vrain Invitational on May 8, improving from 11:20.75 set earlier in the season! The time places her #31 in Colorado and #6 among freshmen after finishing 7th of 61 runners.
Jayden Leonard, Palmer Ridge High School: He ran 10.78 in the 100 meters at Teddy's Last Chance Qualifier on May 9, dropping from 11.06 set earlier in May! The time moves him to #36 in Colorado and #6 among sophomores after placing 2nd of 115 competitors.
