Madison Lange, Cherokee Trail High School: Lange finished high on the podium in multiple distance events all as a freshman! She placed 2nd overall in the 3200m, running 10:29 and then ran a personal best in the 800m, running 2:10 to place 3rd overall. Finally, she took the victory in Class 5A in the 1600m, running an impressive time of 4:52!
Kayla Broecker, Summit High School: Broecker was the next fastest freshman in the distance events, and ran some fantastic times! She placed 4th overall in the very competitive 3200m in Class 4A, running a new personal best time of 10:48! She then went on to finish 5th in the 1600m, running 5:02.
Maylee Mojica, Chaparral High School: Mojica ran one of the fastest times in the 300m hurdles in all of Colorado, running 44.55 in the preliminary round to make it to the finals! That time is ranked #15 for the whole state and #1 for freshmen. She ended up placing 7th overall in a time of 45.05 and also helped the 4x200m and the 4x400m relay teams to podium finishes.
Noa Harrison, Palmer High School: Another freshman who won an individual title is Harrison, who won the Class 4A long jump title! She hit a huge personal best mark of 18-4.25, placing her at #8 in the whole state for the season. She also was a part of multiple relays for Palmer High School.
Alexis Fischer, Grandview High School: Fischer did quite well in the long sprints, making it to the podium in both the 200m and the 400m - all as a sophomore! In the 400m, she placed 3rd overall in Class 5A, running a time of 54.84! She then went on to place 9th in the 200m, running 26.06, but ran 24.51 to qualify for the finals.
Lillian Graves, Fairview High School: Graves was very close to Fischer in both the long sprints as well, placing 4th overall in the 400m with a time of 55.23, which was a brand new personal best! She then placed 5th in the 200m, running 24.65 after running a wind-aided 24.05 in the preliminary round.
Maeve Vancik, Arapahoe High School: Vancik was the fastest sophomore in the 1600m at the state meet, just dipping under 5 minutes to run 4:59, placing 7th overall in Class 5A! She also ran a new personal best in the 800m of 2:13 to place 8th overall and though she was unable to finish the 3200m, she did have a season best time of 10:41, placing her high on the list for underclassmen.
Ruby Snyder, Valor Christian High School: With Class 5A being one of the more competitive ones for the hurdles, Snyder was able to still finish 4th overall in the 100m hurdles, running a wind-aided time of 14.15! She also placed 2nd overall in the 300m hurdles, running 43.33 and helped her team to a 2nd place finish in the 4x100m relay.
Emma McNerney, Burlington High School: Though she is only a sophomore, McNerney placed well in both the shot put and the discus for Class 2A - one of the most competitive classes for throwing! McNerney threw 36-10 to place 2nd overall and then she threw 115-5 in the discus to place 4th.
Skylar Angelidis, Palmer High School: Angelidis was the top sophomore in Colorado for the triple jump all season and ends the season at the top of the rankings with another personal best jump of 38-6.25! That mark is also ranked #2 in all of Colorado, and she won the Class 4A individual title with that mark!
Kiara Humphrey, Fountain-Fort Carson High School: Humphrey won the high jump in Class 5A just as a sophomore hitting a mark of 5-5! Considering she is so young, she has a lot more potential to improve in the event and chase even more records in the future.
