Why you won't see league meet results until next Saturday night in most cases...
It's important to me personally to collect and post league meet results from every league meet in the state. It's important for a number of reasons, not the least of which is to honor the efforts of each athlete who participates in those meets.
There are, however, issues of equity when one league meet concludes before another and results from that first league meet become available before the second league meet concludes. A team could, in that case, identify and exploit opportunities to bump athletes from other schools from the state meet. I think we all want the playing field as level as possible in this circumstance.
So, Colorado Track XC will post no league meet results without permission from the meet director prior to late Saturday afternoon of next week. If you're a meet director and want to send me those prior to that time, that is fine, but they will not be published prior to Saturday afternoon unless you specifiy otherwise. If, however, the meet results are sent to any other media outlet as well as Colorado Track XC, I will go ahead and post here. [Edit: 05/08 AM]
As I am a 3A coach, I am specifically requesting that any 3A league meet not send me league results prior to Saturday morning. I would prefer to rise above the suspicion of using those results to further the ends of my own team. By Saturday morning, I'll be neck-deep in coaching athletes at our own league meet and will be safely away from the computer until that meet is done.
