You didn't have to watch much of the small school action on Saturday to see the new face of 3A boys cross country. Although you didn't have to watch much, you did have to be there are the right times.
Two teams each made a bold statement on Saturday. One chose the open race to make their statement. The other chose the more conventional route of the 1A/2A/3A varsity race. And, although, their methods of delivery differed, the statements were very much the same, "Keep an eye on Peak to Peak/University!"
Peak to Peak loaded their varsity roster into the JV race, putting five guys into the top ten. Rounding the corner for the second ascent of Powerline Climb, the scene looked at lot like this:
