Maybe it gets a little annoying sharing a league with Broomfield and Thompson Valley, being geographically sandwiched between the two, and forever having the hear how good these two powerhouse 4A programs are. Whether or not that was part of the motivation, Centaurus came out to race this morning with a serious chip on their shoulders. When it was all said and done, the Warriors had taken out all of the best 4A programs in the state--and taken each of them out by a margin of 66 points or more.

It was easy to miss what was going on if you were standing anywhere along the grandstands immediately before the finish line.

Alfredo Lebron and Gus Waneka turned the corner to the finish straight almost simultaneously, and almost as if they had read the intended script...
