There may be an old-timer or two around who can remember a better March of weather for track meets than March, 2012, but I'm not on that short list of people. Let's just hope is wasn't a setup for a cruel April.

Here's how the last weekend of March--while half of our students were gone on spring break trips--looked:

 

Broomfield Shootout

No doubt about it, this was the big meet of the weekend. It lived up to all expectations, and probably then some.

While we all understand that team scores have to be taken with a grain of salt at any invitational, and especially so on this weekend, you couldn't help but notice Loveland nearly tripling the score on everyone in the girls' field. You also had to be impressed with how closely matched 4A boys contenders Broomfield and Longmont were, right behind 5A ThunderRidge.
