It was a busy weekend for the folks who update record books. Some high-level competition converged with low winds, high temperatures and an extra helping of motivation. The net result was a storm of broken records. I won't even try to enumerate the broken meet records. That isn't the kind of record breaking we're talking about here.
I'm guessing Doherty is wishing this one was a rankings meet. When you turn Mackenzie Howie loose and she runs a 25.92 200, you'd like to keep that one.
Rampart's Ashlyn Hare took both hurdle events. Keep a mental note of that name. When the current crop of top hurdlers graduates, Hare could be one of the heir apparents.
