4A boys may be the best state race of them all, though there should certainly be a few other good ones.
I've been operating most of the season under the misconception that Broomfield and Longmont were the main contenders. Don't get me wrong, both Longmont and Broomfield are serious contenders, but thanks to a tip from a 4A coach and a little virtual meets analysis, I'm now seeing at least two more serious contenders for the title--Vista Ridge and Thompson Valley.
Part of what makes the so interesting is how different the teams are. Vista Ridge has a couple of field events that figure to score points, but, in reality, it's about events from 100 to 400 meters for the Wolfpack.
