This past spring, 3A boys was a struggle between The Classical Academy and Rifle for the 3A state title. Faith Christian had the top-end talent, but not enough supporting talent, make a serious bid.

We'll enter 2013 with many of the same players and a few different ones.

Rifle has gone the way of 4A. TCA took heavy hits to graduation, but still has a few horses in the stable. Eaton's boys' track and field program seems to be on a steady rise, closing in each year on the level of success their girls' team has been able to attain. Faith Christian will be facing much the same situation as they faced this spring. They have the talent to score in big quantities, but they're going to need a deeper cast to be there on May 18.

A number of other teams, to include Alamosa, University, Cedaredge, Brush, Kent Denver...
