It took them most of State Saturday to get it done, but Loveland eventually turned aside threats from Lakewood and Cherry Creek to win the 2012 girls state title. Loveland did it most on the strength of relays. Loveland took some hits to graduation this spring, but you can figure they'll find a way to fill at least many of the holes that graduation created. Be careful not to count Loveland out, and especially not on the basis of an analysis like the one shown below which excludes relays.
