In 2011, the 4A boys state meet produced one of the bigger upsets we’ve seen in recent history.  All season long, Broomfield and Thompson Valley beat up on each other and everyone else in the 4A ranks.  Seemingly out of nowhere, the Centaurus boys ran the races of their lives to capture the state title.  Don’t be surprised if another upset happens this year.  I would estimate that up to twelve teams around the state are dreaming of what could be on October 27th.  The race should be very close and the top 5 was very difficult to pick, much more so than the 4A girls.
