There's a big part of me that misses 3A cross country. I don't miss 6/4 scoring in the least, but I do miss the variety of schools and the many wonderful personalities among the coaches in 3A. I've heard reports of at least one eminent retirement among the 3A coaching ranks, and that makes me sad, but I understand nothing is as inexorable as the march of time.

Sentimentality aside, this should be a vintage year for 3A cross country at the state meet. There are so many possibilities, so let's just get straight to a discussion of those possibilities.

Boys
