For a span of roughly ten years, Grand Junctions was feared and dominant force in Colorado high school cross country.
A generation ago, Keith Williams was winning state titles in distance events for Norwood High School. Today, his son Ty tends the fire--running for Telluride in the fall and Norwood in the spring.
Frank Mencin inherited a legacy when he started at Lake County. He left another legacy when he departed.
