About Me
Award-winning photographer James Harris has been a professional photographer since 1979. In the early years, he traveled with his Canon A-1 and Linhof Technika 4x5 view camera photographing the American West, amassing a stock photo library of over 10,000 transparencies. James now shoots exclusively digital with Nikon equipment, looking to craft outstanding photographs. His photographs have appeared in numerous ads, books, magazines, and on magazine covers. Assignments have included such clients as the National Park Service, U.S. Electricar, the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, and has shot photo assignments on location in Ukraine.
James lives with his wife Esther and three daughters (four have already left the nest!) in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in the shadow of Pikes Peak, one of Colorado's 54 fourteeners.
James also teaches photography classes and workshops, with an emphasis on panoramas, HDR (high-dynamic range) photography, and landscape photography.
