TCA Titans Kotryna Obergfell, Erin Percy, and Kate Peterson set up early positioning.

With TCA running at a little less than full strength, things could easily have taken a southward turn for the Titans. That possibility, however, never emerged. In fact, at no point was it even close to happening.

Looking a great deal more confident after something of a breakout season in track this spring, sophomore Katie Flaherty rubbed shoulders with early leaders Lilly Lavier, Whitney White, and Tara Sowards. Eventually, Rampart's Mathilde Bernard would leapfrog this entire group and take the win, but the battle for second would endure over the entire last two miles between Lavier, White, and Flaherty.

Lavier would evetually open a small gap on the fairway grass leading to the finish, but Flaherty's third-place finish put TCA in a strong contending position. And she didn't have to wait long to see reinforcements coming.

McKenzie Elliott and Kotryna Obergfell had moved up nicely from conservative early positioning and ended up in fifth and seventh, respectively. And, before the top 25 had finished doing its thing, Erin Percy and Kate Peterson had closed out the TCA scoring. TCA's 51 points left second-place Rampart 23 points behind.
