A New Course Record for Tanner Norman
Tanner Norman has collected a few wins over the course of the season, and this--by margin, at least--was the biggest of those wins. Not only did Norman's 15:40 put him 40 seconds up on second-place Isaiah DeLaCerda of Alamosa, it also put him atop the all-time course performance list for the Fountain Creek Regional Park circuit.
TCA's bid for the team title, however, came up a bit short. After Norman and DeLaCerda, it was Caleb Palmer and Oscar Martinez of Alamosa crosssing next. And, Alamosa's Caleb Berlinger split up TCA's Canaan Lamberth and Ryan Moen. That would prove to be a deficit TCA couldn't dig its way out of.
Salida and Lamar followed Alamosa and TCA as state-qualifying teams, meaning that the regional race, at least through the top four team places, went precisely according to form.
