FK Elite and MackTrack Elite both sent groups of athletes to Houston this weekend. While the sprint and hurdle times for the Colorado athletes were a bit slower than they posted last weekend at the Cadet Field House, as we might have expected, the placements were still very good.
Of particular note, Sydnee Larkin won the triple jump at 40-1, Anna Hall won the high jump at 5-8, Emily Sloan won the 60 hurdles in 8.52, and Anna Hall took her first excursion below nine seconds in the semis of the 60 hurdles. Mason Anthony didn't quite hit his PR in the long jump, but he definitely validated last week's mark in the process.
Yes, the Colorado pole vaulters did their thing out in Nevada. The delegation may not have been quite as large this year as it has been in some recent years, however. Max Manson had the top Colorado mark of the weekend at an even 16-0. Chaparral's Justin Sandberg put a new notch a little farther out on his pole with a 14-8 clearance.
