In this week's edition of Colorado Future Stars we'll be taking a look at recent freshmen performances.
On that note, Colorado, meet Benjamin Adams!
The Mountain Vista freshman recently won the 800 at the Continental League FR/SO Championships in 1:58.13.
That's currently No. 2 in the freshmen class across all-classifications.
Several weeks ago he finished fourth in the 1,600 at The Pomona Invitational in 4:18.09 - that leads the freshmen class, and is a 5A No. 5. Additionally he ran a 9:24 in the 3,200 at the Stutler Twilight.
He's also run a freshmen class-leading time of 9:31 in the 3,200 at the Niwot Invitational last month.
In other words - he's currently ranked No. 2 in the 800, No. 1 in the 1,600, and No. 1 in the 3,200 in the freshmen class.
Last fall he finished 16th at the 5A Colorado State Cross Country Championships, and ran a personal best of 15:40 in the 5k at the Liberty Bell Cross Country Invitational.
