Colorado Future Stars: Myah Scott (March 17-22)

Our first freshman future star comes from a small mountain town and competes for Salida High School. Myah Scott competed in the high jump at the CSU-Pueblo Early Bird meet a couple weekends ago and came away with the victory against some incredible competition, including top finishers in the 4A state championship. Though the pressure was high, the freshman rose to the occasion, soaring over 5-4 in her first high jump competition ever.

Clearly this is only the beginning for this Warrior, especially considering how technical high jump is and how mentally tough one has to be in order to succeed. For Scott to handle that kind of pressure in her first ever meet at such a young age proves how much potential she has and proves it even more so than what her stats show already.

Scott also competed in both hurdle events at CSU-Pueblo, and she showed early promise in both of those events by finishing in the top 10. As with any freshman, give them a little more time and they will be even better, and that is exactly what the future looks like for Scott.
