It's a busy evening of Simplot Games action on Thursday, but all of the action takes place in the weight throw and distance prelims.
The weight throws at the Simplot Games tend to be dominated by the Throw1Deep club out of Georgia, but they aren't the only throwers who show up for the Simplot Games weight throw.
Colorado will be represented in the weight throw by Haley Showalter of Lakewood. In the regular season, Showalter throws for Valor Christian, but the indoor season affords Showalter a showcase for what may be her best throwing event of all--the weight throw. Showalter will be putting her #15 national ranking in the weight throw (48-7.5) on the line tonight in the Simplot ring.
Mike McIntosh and Tyler Sipes of the Mountain View club will be representing Colorado in the boys weight throw at Simplot.
