As of this moment, the 1A girls team race for 2014 looks a lot like a replay of the 2013 1A girls team race. Don't count on it staying that way, however. The passage of a year of time has a way of changing more than just the calendar.
It is true, however, that pretty much the complete arsenal of weapons returns for this year's big three of Shining Mountain, Dove Creek, and Vail Christian. What comes in via the freshman class next year could tilt things in any of several different directions, however.
Ginger Hutton, Corissa Guynes, Madison Young, Celia Smith, and Taylor Alexander figure to be big players in determining the ultimate team outcome, just as they were this year.
