4A Region 4 Girls Virtual Meet
Thompson Valley and Mountain View have been pounding on each other all season long--boys and girls. It's difficult to say who has the upper hand going into this one, so you'd be advised to show up and find out firsthand.
If we concede two state qualifying spots each to TV and MV, that leaves two more from each gender coming from the region, and those battles should get pretty spirited before all is said and done. Both genders have a logjam of teams in the 3-4-5 positions and there is one race to settle it all.
Individually, Fort Morgan's Tola Walio brings in the best time, but there's nothing sure about this. Make sure you figure at least Sam Berg, Kaleb Simington and Jarrett Thollot into this mix as well.
The girls have three entries with sub-19 credentials in Kendra Larson, Riley Cooney, and Lauren Offernan. Breathing hard down their backs is Kiah Leonard of Berthoud. It should be a dandy.
