Hands down, this has been the toughest girls league in the state for several years running. Welcome to racing purgatory, Broomfield.
At the top of the league have been Fort Collins and Monarch, or, depending on the year, Monarch and Fort Collins. And, yes, it figures to be more of the same next year, but graduation hits harder at Monarch this spring, so we'll give a tentative early nod to Fort Collins.
The Lambkins return three sub-19s in Lauren Gregory, Devynn Miller, and Heather Holt. And, we're all pretty sure that 2014 will not be the year that Fort Collins finds out what a problem with depth feels like. No, Fort Collins figures to keep drawing from a practically bottomless well.
