There were officially only two finals on the track at the Grand Junction Tiger Invitational on Friday night and those events belonged securely in the hands of the Eagle Valley Devils.
The 4x800 relays were certainly expected to produce some fireworks with some quality teams going head to head and they did not disappoint.
The ladies hit the track first and Brighton, Durango and Eagle Valley were poised to battle. Brighton got off to a fast start, but after the first baton exchange Roxy Trotter brought her Devils to the forefront to stay. Brighton never gave up the fight however and worked their way back with a strong close to finish a close second, 9:51.44 to 9:52.10.
