5A boys is the last meet at state. Whether or not you think that's an equitable way of doing things, it does seem to be CHSAA's way of saying that 5A boys is the biggest part of the show. And, there is no mistaking the fact that this is going to be your fastest race overall (and usually at the front, too) of any of the eight state meet races.
Cerake Geberkidane is gone this year, and with him goes a certain amount of national notoriety, but it's not exactly slim pickings within the ranks of 5A boys. There will be plenty to speculate about, to cheer about, and to agonize over as the season develops.
