Previously, we've looked at the progression of rankings over the years 2012 to 2014 for explosive events. This time, we turn our attention toward a distance event--the 1600.

And, we find much the same thing. The rule is that those who start out at the top of the class as freshmen tend to stay at or near the top. The exceptions are those who work their ways into the rankings after their freshman years.

We'll take the usual closer look, even though the pattern is becoming increasingly apparent:
